5th Grade Games on Saturday, January 24th

The boys getting ready to start their first game at Toledo.

The 5th Grade Boys had two games on Saturday against very good teams from Pe Ell and Centralia.

Jared inbounds the ball. Hunter (#7) and Orlando are also in the picture.

Orlando stands tall against a tough Centralia defender. Adair is moving to help.

5th Grade Wednesday Night Practice Canceled

Due to a change in schedules with the high school teams, Wednesday's 5th grade practice must be canceled. Sorry for any inconvenience.

5th Grade Basketball Update

We have consecutive games on...

Saturday January 24th at 2:00pm AND 3:00pm at Toledo.

Try Toledo Elementary School gym first then try the Middle School. I will try and verify exactly which gym we are playing in ASAP.

Drills to do at Home Without a Basketball

On a flat space, come to a complete jump stop and pretend that you have the ball "cocked" or in the triple threat position. Practice using a pivot foot, be sure to get onto your toes and spin around. Move your body high and low. It is also a good warm-up exercise.

Part two;

On a flat space, come to a complete jump stop then step through with the non-pivot foot. You can lift the pivot foot, but you are now committed. Make sure you pretend (get it in your mind) to shoot or pass before your pivot foot touches the ground again or you will be guilty of traveling!
